Dennis Patrick Slattery, Ph.D., has taught for 39 years in the areas of literature, literary theory, depth psychology and mythology. He is the author of nine books, including two volumes of poetry, and over 250 articles, reviews and cultural essays.
His recent books include The Wounded Body: Remembering the Markings of Flesh (SUNY Press, 2000), a memoir, Grace in the Desert: Awakening to the Gifts of Monastic Life (Jossey-Bass, 2004), and Harvesting Darkness: Essays on Literature, Myth, Film and Culture (iUniverse, 2006).
He is interested in the space where the larger culture and the academic world meet and converse. |
